Meet Jason, a seasoned professional with 17 years of expertise in the North American Capital Markets, specializing in Real Estate Development and Investing. Co-founder of Port Renfrew Management Ltd. since 2012, Jason's real estate journey began as a dynamic executive leader in a leading North American Land Entitlement & Development Group overseeing a substantial portfolio exceeding $3.0 billion in assets.

In his pivotal role, Jason spearheaded the Canadian operations. Defying norms that firm structured transactions and sourced capital in what was once considered a non-investment grade asset class. His tenure involved collaborating with diverse investors in global markets, spanning the US, Southeast Asia, and Europe. From acquisition, to masterplanned communities to exits Jason has the experience to deliver.

Before joining the executive team, Jason lent his expertise to Non-Government Organizations, focusing on policy development, organizational effectiveness, board governance, and organizational reorganization/redevelopment. With a wealth of experience and a track record of success, Jason is a driving force in the real estate industry, consistently navigating complex landscapes and delivering exceptional results.

Karl Ablack

Meet Karl Ablack, the Managing Director and Co-founder of Port Renfrew Management since 2012, also serving as a Trustee of the Fund. With a robust background in business development, sales, and marketing, Karl is a seasoned professional with over 35 years of experience in fostering the growth of small and medium-sized companies in both domestic and international markets.

Throughout his career, Karl has demonstrated a knack for identifying undervalued assets and optimizing their potential, resulting in substantial profits. From 1997 to 2006, he held the position of President at Wilden, operating as ExN'Flex International, the international business arm of Tecogics Scientific. During this time, Karl played a pivotal role in establishing the international sales and distribution network for a Canadian-based company specializing in therapy equipment for spinal cord injuries and neurological impairments.

In the years 2007 to 2008, Karl focused on reviewing and analyzing potential projects, showcasing his strategic insight. From 2009 to 2011, he further honed his skills as the Sales Account Manager and Investment Specialist at Walton Capital Management, specializing in syndications for land-based real estate investments.

With a wealth of experience and a proven track record, Karl Ablack is a driving force in the world of business, consistently contributing to the success and growth of the ventures he undertakes.
