Port Renfrew, BC – In an exciting development for the Port Renfrew community, Port Renfrew Management Ltd. has initiated a significant water infrastructure project, approved by the Capital Regional District (CRD) Integrated Water Services on March 4, 2024. This project, entirely funded and managed by Port Renfrew Management, marks a pivotal move towards bolstering community resilience, enhancing fire safety, and supporting the area's growth potential.
Project Overview:
- Comprehensive Upgrade: Installation of critical water infrastructure, including 87 metres of 300 mm PC235 PVC pipe and 17 metres of 50 mm PC200 municipex pipe.
- Strategic Development: Aimed at creating a redundant loop in the watermain system to increase storage capacity and improve fire protection.
- Seamless Integration: Post-completion, the new system will be merged with existing infrastructure, transitioning smoothly to community management.

- Improved Access: Shifting daily service access to the water storage system through Beachview Drive, away from the traditional path, enhancing aesthetics and safety.
- Heavy Vehicle Accommodation: Building a new road for large equipment, doubling as a scenic walking trail, enriching the community's recreational landscape.
